Being kids and becoming kids is fun!

by admin

Sometimes I think children have maximum energy because they always seem upbeat about everything! Toddlers and kids of preschool age are usually twice as active as you are, and I don’t blame them since their energies are never channelized. While you’re being the habitual couch potato on weekends your kids might feel neglected and cause more tantrums than you can possibly imagine!

The golden rule with kids (sadly nothing remains too golden beyond a point) is – if you can’t quiet them, indulge them! Yes, wouldn’t it be fun to become a kid like your little ones and share moments of joy with them? However, beware that you have a tough task before you because it’s never easy to hold a child’s attention for too long. You need activities specially aimed at keeping kids entertained and engrossed. These kiddy activities are fun, cute and thoroughly enjoyable for the entire family.

For instance, kids love to talk about super heroes. Spider man and the likes never fail to catch the attention of young ones. Why not create your own family superhero? This is a simple yet interesting activity to keep your kid busy and it doesn’t require much preparation too! You can gather magazines, books or surf on the net for exciting creatures which you want to incorporate in your superhero. Once that it done, help your children draw a colorful and intriguing superhero while asking them about the superhero’s super powers. Making a huge card board cut-out with accessories such as paper clothes, stick-on weapons and absolutely anything that fascinates your kid can be put on your personal hero!

On similar lines, you can help your children design a creative photo frame! Use card board cut outs in any shape that your kid likes. Let your kids decorate the border with glitter, beads and whatever innovative stuff kids can come up with! Create a theme for the frame and stick in the pictures from the last family ski holidays. Paste photos once the decoration is dried up and hang the picture to make your child feel special. Such activities with your kids can help you bond with your kids and also engage them in imaginative pastimes.
