Let mother nature help entertain your kids |

Summer is fast approaching. School will soon be out and it will be important to have plenty of things for the kids. This will keep them from going crazy and taking you along with them in the process (and all that will cause is you spending more money on hair loss medication, not disarable for anybody). You can keep the kids completely occupied and happy without braking your bank.
If it is a beautiful day out you can take your kids on a nature hike. While on the hike you need to have the kids collect leave and pinecones to use at a later point. Let the kids take their time and enjoy nature. Talk about the sights and sounds.
When you get home you can use the pinecones to make birdfeeders. You need to get some peanut butter all over the pinecone. After you have completely covered the cone take it and roll it in the birdseed. You can then take it outside and hang it from a tree. Try to make sure that you can see the tree from a window.
Another great outdoor activity to do with kids is a water war. Get some water balloons and fill them with water. Split them in half on each end of the lawn. Have the kids pick teams and go to the balloons. Let the kids launch the balloons at one another. After all the balloons are gone make sure that all of the pieces are picked up.
You can use the leaves you grabbed during your nature walk to make some great artwork. Place the leaves on a table taped down on the back. Take a piece of paper and lay it on top of the leaves. Use a crayon to rub the paper making sure to go over the leaves. You will have beautiful leaf rubbings to enjoy.
You do not have to go broke to have fun this summer. Mother nature provides lots of entertainment and plenty of free art supplies. By using a little creativity you can have lots of fun while spending very little money.
