Making Vacations Fun – What Is Your Role? |
Do you keep your child occupied during vacations by making the child join art clubs? Do you encourage the child to participate in adventure camp by enrolling him or her into adventure sports clubs? Well, have you noticed that your child learns numerous of soft skills and other traits from third parties?
What is stopping you from planning a climbing expedition with your child on your own? You may not know anything about rock climbing. Does that mean you cannot learn to have a good time with your child? What is stopping you from attending a few rock climbing classes to understand the basics? Once you have a firm grasp of the basics, you can go in for extra safe arrangements like strong ropes and cords to plan an expedition on your own.
You do not have to climb Mount Everest with your child. Simply climbing a hill close to your house with your child will be a wonderful experience. You will be there to tell your child that it is OK to feel fear. You will be there to push your child harder and help him or her reach the goal.
When your child reaches the summit, he or she will be proud that you were there to enjoy the achievement. Do not underestimate the importance of being there for your child when he or she is participating in such activities. Your presence will create numerous fond memories in you child and he or she will enjoy a huge boost in self esteem simply because you were there.
