Dads Don’t Play – Says Who? |
Is there an unwritten rule in your family that the mother will be in charge of all activities related to the children? Is she in charge of creating pastimes and hobbies so that your child can learn faster? Well, such an approach can prove counterproductive in the long run. Why do we have families consisting of a father and a mother? If the mother was to stay in charge of each and every activity related to the child, the father could have simply been done away with.
Nature requires two individuals to bring up a child properly-a man and a woman. You will find that your child behaves with you in a completely different manner. The fact that his or her dad has taken time to play will be a very big thing for your child.
You will find your child willing to work harder and learn more when you are leading the activity. Verity is the spice of life and this rule applies to the activities and games of your child as well. You will realize that your creativity and imagination works in a different manner as compared to your spouse. This is not to say that you are better or she is worse.
The point is that you have a different mindset and this will have a varying impact on the activity you come up with. Adopt this approach and you will find your child learning faster and improving in all aspects of life.
