Sharing nature with kids |
There are many different things that are important to the future of our world, and teaching children to love nature and care for the planet should be high on the list of priorities. People need to learn what is important in this life, and spending out on an expensive international divorce solicitor is something that is unnecessary. Instead this money could be spent on the child involved in the breakup, and you could teach them about the good things in life, in the hope that they will be a good person later on.
There is a growing interest in teaching children about the beauty of nature, and getting them involved with wildlife and its importance from a young age. There is a particularly famous man in this area of expertise called Joseph Cornell who has been running classes for over 20 years. He has now written a book, and conducts training courses to encourage others to start running their own courses.
Our generation may be the last ones to get away without seeing the full effects of what humans have done to the world, but our children will not be so lucky. If they do not learn about the importance of nature and grow up with a profound love for it, they will not care about saving it. I also think that is it very important for humans in general to start living more closely in tune with nature, as some people spend years of their lives in large cities without even touching a tree or sitting in a field. Maybe this is why so many people are so stressed out and unhappy in the world. This have to change and the best gift we can give to future generations is the gift of nature. If you live in a large city and your child never gets to experience the forest or mountains, maybe it is worth thinking about sending them on one of these great courses.
